The First AI-Native Social Operating System

Social media has become more media and less social. When I open up Facebook and Instagram, I don’t see any of my friends on it anymore - it’s one third ads, one third content from strangers on the internet, and one third AI slop. My friends are no longer on social media - I either meet up with them IRL or catch up with them in group chats. Launch Video https://youtu.be/KW2tjLl6sxM We’re building the first AI-native social operating system where digipals (ambient ai agents that have full context over your location, calendar, group chats, photos, and relationship history with your friends) act as the atomic units of human coordination. Your digipal gets full context over who you are, when you're available, and what you like. It then talks with your friends’ digipals to suggest hangouts when everyone is free, find restaurants and coffee shops nearby, make dinner reservations using AI calls, split bills based on the receipt, and nudge posting photo memories after hanging out. By removing the friction for human connection, we believe that AI can be used to deepen human relationships by allowing us to spend more time with friends IRL and through staying close to their life updates and memories in group chats.

What if your group chats could help get you a reservation... and help you split the bill? Now it can.

We're building an AI-native group chat app that helps you hang out with your friends more. Your AI agent (digipal) knows your location, calendar, relationship history, and photos. It talks with your friends' digipals to coordinate IRL hangouts automatically - suggesting times when everyone's free, finding nearby restaurants and coffee shops, making reservations with AI calls, splitting bills from receipts, and nudging you to share photo memories after hanging out.

Right now, coordinating hangouts with friends takes too much effort. We're removing that friction so you can spend less time planning and more time actually having fun IRL.

Where We're Going - The First AI-Native Social Operating System

Digipals work through AI widgets that pop up right in your group chat when you and your friends need them. Talking about dinner? The restaurant widget appears. Someone sends a receipt? The bill split widget shows up. You never have to leave the group chat to coordinate.

We're starting with widgets that make it easier to hang out IRL - restaurant reservations, movie/concert suggestions, flight/hotel bookings, bill splitting, and sports scores. Here's some sneak peeks:

Then we're adding widgets that help you stay close to your friends and make new ones - relive memories from fun times together in the past, post memes/articles/reels your group would actually find funny, surface life updates worth celebrating, and connect with friends of friends.

Eventually, anyone can build AI widgets for Digipals. Your group chat becomes the social operating system, and the widgets are the apps that enhance human connection.

Team

Peggy cares deeply about human relationships. For over nine years, she's grabbed dinner monthly with the same friends at Madras Cafe in Sunnyvale - the restaurant their group chat is named after. She's a second time founder who worked on the Metaverse at Meta Reality Labs, where she believed that the future of social connection was in virtual worlds and games. Now, she's convinced the future is simpler - it's showing up IRL.

Mathew made a hit solo game called deadshot.io which has over 2M+ monthly active users. He enjoys connecting with others through playing music and video games, and joined the team to help make the future a little less lonely for everyone.
